ROAR: We’re long time audio fans, and years before the inception of ROAR we both shortlisted in a BBC competition and had a cheeky day workshopping in Manchester together. The fantasy landscape and final set piece of the story would take millions on film, but be hugely immersive in audio as well as feeling more ahievable staright out of lockdown. We were enormously lucky to get Ed Clarke (whose credits include Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein at the National) on board as sound recordist and designer. For us, and many of the cast this was a return to creative work after lockdown and was a hugely fun project - as you can tell from the fact that we only have pictures from the extensive drinking session that happened after recording!
